Title: Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) – People Services 

Work Mode: Remote | Supporting: IOA Home office | Requirements: 5+ years of Human Resources experience, with senior generalist experience preferred

About the Role: The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) acts as a strategic consultant to leadership and a trusted resource for employees. This role aligns HR initiatives with business objectives to support organizational goals, improve workforce performance, and build a strong, positive culture. The HRBP provides guidance on employee relations, talent management, organizational development, workforce planning, performance management, and policy interpretation. 

 
Key Responsibilities: 

  • Business Partnership: Build strong relationships with business leaders through ongoing consultation, workforce planning discussions, and organizational support. 

  • Leadership Coaching: Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on organizational structure, team effectiveness, talent development, employee engagement, and performance management. 

  • Employee Relations: Manage complex employee relations matters, conduct investigations, support counseling and disciplinary actions, and ensure appropriate follow-up activities are completed. 

  • Performance Management: Provide guidance on coaching, career development, performance improvement, documentation, and performance-related processes. 

  • HR Analytics & Workforce Planning: Analyze trends, metrics, and workforce data to identify opportunities, risks, and recommendations that support business objectives. 

  • Policy Development & Compliance: Interpret, develop, and revise HR policies while ensuring compliance with employment laws, company standards, and regulatory requirements. 

  • Talent Acquisition Support: Partner with leadership and recruiting teams on staffing strategies, hiring needs, candidate evaluations, and workforce planning initiatives. 

  • Compensation & Employment Administration: Review employment terms, administer compensation changes, promotions, transfers, and related employment actions. 

  • HRIS & Employee Records Management: Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS data, personnel documentation, and employment-related transactions. 

  • Employee Engagement & Organizational Development: Partner with leaders and employees to strengthen workplace relationships, improve morale, increase retention, and support organizational effectiveness. 

  • Offboarding & Unemployment Administration: Coordinate employee separation activities and manage unemployment claims and related proceedings. 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Legal, Compliance, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, and People Services teams to support organizational initiatives and employee needs. 

  • Communication & Stakeholder Support: Maintain proactive communication with leaders regarding employee matters, workforce trends, and HR initiatives. 

  • Professional Development: Maintain expertise in leadership development, talent management, organizational effectiveness, learning technologies, and industry best practices. 

  • Champion IOA Values: Demonstrate integrity, leadership, accountability, and professionalism in all interactions. 

 
Ideal Candidate Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of Human Resources experience, with senior generalist experience preferred 

  • Demonstrated HR functional knowledge in employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and talent development 

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills 

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities with exceptional attention to detail 

  • Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities, manage multiple projects, and delegate effectively when appropriate 

  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and business matters 

  • Proficiency with HR systems, Microsoft Office applications, and related business technology tools

Salary Range

The expected pay range for this position is $95,000 to $110,000 per year, depending on experience, relevant skills, and geographic location.
