Job Summary

The HRIS Specialist is responsible for maintaining and supporting human resource information systems, ensuring data accuracy, system security, user access management, and overall system performance.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and monitor the HRIS systems (ex. Dayforce, Zendesk) to ensure data accuracy, system integrity, and consistent performance. Assist with system configurations, testing, and data validation during implementations, upgrades, or changes. Monitor system performance and coordinate issue resolution with IT and vendors as needed. Execute daily operational tasks such as user provisioning, table maintenance, and system documentation.

  • Maintain and monitor user access, security roles, and permission levels in alignment with compliance policies. Ensure data integrity by conducting regular audits and reconciling discrepancies. Support reporting needs with accurate, compliant data for audits, government reporting, and internal dashboards. Document system configurations, workflows, and policies to support accuracy and compliance.

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support to P&C staff and end users for HRIS-related questions or errors. Assist in developing user guides, FAQs, and training materials for new system features and processes. Conduct system training sessions or refreshers for employees and managers as needed. Share best practices and insights with People Partners to improve end user adoption and data accuracy. Partner with HRIS vendors as needed.

  • Partner with internal teams (P&C, IT, Payroll, Finance) to resolve technical issues and coordinate solutions. Support the implementation and rollout of new modules and integrations by gathering requirements and documenting processes. Participate in testing cycles and system optimization efforts across cross-functional teams. Communicate system limitations or enhancement requests based on user feedback and workflow impact.

  • Analyze data trends and system usage patterns to recommend workflow automation or process improvements. Gather feedback from users to identify usability issues and contribute to evolving HR technology strategy.

  • Engage in ongoing learning, training, and skill development, seeking and applying feedback to continuously improve performance and contribute to team and organizational success.

  • Support change management efforts by ensuring communication, training, and documentation align with rollouts. Continuously improve the employee system experience by applying insights from performance metrics and user input.

Qualifications and Skills

Minimum:

Dayforce HRIS Administration & Support: Hands-on experience administering and supporting Dayforce, including system configuration and maintenance, workflows and forms, security roles and permissions, data validation, issue resolution, and Tier 1/Tier 2 user support.

Reporting, Analytics & Data Quality: Experience creating, modifying, and troubleshooting Dayforce reports, dashboards, and recurring reporting; translating business needs into meaningful metrics and visualizations; and auditing HR data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.

Testing, Documentation & Process Support: Experience supporting Dayforce system testing, including test execution, defect identification, retesting, and validation; developing SOPs, job aids, and user documentation; providing user training; and working independently with Dayforce Support or implementation partners to resolve system issues.

Preferred:

Dayforce Core HR Experience: Experience supporting Dayforce Core HR/People, including employee records, organizational structures, jobs, departments, locations, employment data, and related HR processes.

Implementation & Integration Experience: Experience supporting a Dayforce implementation, go-live, or post-go-live stabilization, including integrations, data imports/exports, data conversion, and troubleshooting interface or data-related issues.

Process Improvement & Automation: Experience identifying and implementing opportunities to automate, streamline, and improve HRIS processes, workflows, reporting, and overall system effectiveness.
