Familiarity with usability testing tools, data analysis software, and systems like MATLAB or UX research platforms is typically required. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate findings effectively with multidisciplinary teams distinguish top performers. These skills ensure that products, systems, or environments are optimized for safety, usability, and user satisfaction.

What profession makes $400,000 a year?

In the field of human factors, senior roles such as Human Factors Directors or Chief Human Factors Officers can earn salaries approaching or exceeding $400,000 annually, especially in large organizations or specialized industries like aerospace or technology. These positions typically require extensive experience, advanced degrees, and expertise in user-centered design, ergonomics, or safety analysis.
