Jade's lead candidate, JADE101, targets the cytokine APRIL, and is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1 clinical trial for the treatment of immunoglobulin A nephropathy. Jade's pipeline also includes JADE201, an afucosylated anti-BAFF-R monoclonal antibody, as well as JADE301, an undisclosed antibody candidate, both currently in preclinical development. Role Overview
As a growing startup company, Jade is looking for a hands-on Manager, HR Operations to build scalable processes and partner with our teams to enable Jade's great culture. The Manager, HR Operations will lead and optimize HR processes, systems, benefits administration, and employee lifecycle operations. This individual will lead the efficient delivery of HR services while ensuring streamlined and compliant processes and amazing employee experiences. The Manager, HR Operations will partner closely with Payroll, Finance, IT, and business leaders to support Jade's teams and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Benefits Administration
  • Oversee administration of health and welfare benefits, retirement plans and leave programs
  • Manage new hire, annual open enrollment and employee benefit communications
  • Partner with brokers and vendors to ensure effective program administration
  • Monitor benefits compliance, audits, and reporting requirements
  • Support benefits strategy by analyzing utilization, trends, and costs

Payroll & Employee Lifecycle Support
  • Collaborate with Payroll to ensure accurate employee data and timely processing
  • Oversee onboarding, offboarding, employee status changes, and record management
  • Manage HR documentation and personnel file administration
  • Ensure seamless end-to-end employee experiences

HR Operations
  • Lead the day-to-day administration and execution of HR operations
  • Develop, implement, and streamline HR processes, policies, and procedures
  • Manage HR operational projects and initiatives from planning through implementation
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and provincial employment laws and regulations in the US and Canada
  • Maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee records in accordance with legal requirements
  • Stay informed of employment law changes and recommend process updates as needed
  • Partner with Legal and Finance on compliance-related initiatives

HR Systems and Data Management
  • Lead the administration of HR systems and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of employee data
  • Manage system configurations, workflows, security roles, reporting, and integrations
  • Lead HR systems enhancements and implementation projects
  • Develop dashboards and reports to support decision making
  • Partner with Payroll and IT to ensure seamless system functionality

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 5-8 years of HR experience with 3+ years of progressive benefits, HR systems, and compliance experience required
  • Experience in startup, high-growth organizations required, biotechnology experience preferred
  • Experience administering benefits, HR systems and HR processes in a fast paced, growing organization
  • Experience supporting US multi-state employee populations required, experience supporting Canadian employees preferred
  • Strong knowledge of HR operations, benefits administration, and employment law
  • Advanced HR systems and technology expertise including experience with HRIS platforms such as Paylocity
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, competing deadlines and meet those deadlines
  • Strong communication skills

This is a remote role; periodic travel to team and company events is required.
The anticipated salary range for candidates for this role is $135,000 - $155,000. The final salary offered will depend on several factors, which may include, but not limited to, relevant years of experience, educational background, and geography.
