Housing Compliance Specialist - HOPWA - SeniorCare Network
McKeesport, PA - Full-time; Hourly, Non-exempt; flexible schedule as required by workload
Starting Pay: $22.00/hour - $24.00/hour, Depending on experience

The Housing Opportunities for People with AIDS (HOPWA) program was created to meet the housing needs of low-income people living with HIV/AIDS. Our goal is to stabilize individuals with housing needs so that they can better maintain their health care needs. Sen iorCare Management Assistance Fund (SCMAF) administers the funds available through this HUD program .
The Housing Compliance Specialist - HOPWA is responsible for determining program eligibility, processing recertifications ; and calculation and verification of rent and subsidy amounts in accordance with grant standards. The role requires a compassionate, motivated, and committed professional who will help clients achieve and maintain stable living environments to support engagement in HIV care.

Requirements for the Housing Compliance Specialist - HOPWA :
  • An Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college or technical school or 1 year of relevant experience; OR and equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Have a valid PA driver's license and a registered and insured vehicle.
  • Experience with Section 8 housing and associated paperwork.
  • Exhibit self-motivation and the ability to independently complete assigned responsibilities.
  • S trong organizational skills to maintain records and documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate between multiple parties (i.e. client, case manager, landlord, etc.).
  • A basic understanding of accounting and finance is preferred.
