What is a HubSpot internship?

A HubSpot Internship is a temporary, hands-on learning opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain experience working at HubSpot, a leading customer relationship management (CRM) platform. Interns typically work in various departments such as marketing, sales, product development, or customer support, depending on their skills and interests. The internship provides real-world projects, mentorship, and professional development to help interns grow their careers. It is designed to offer insight into HubSpot’s culture while allowing interns to make meaningful contributions to the company.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the HubSpot internship?

To thrive as a Hubspot Intern, candidates should possess foundational knowledge in marketing, communications, or business, often supported by relevant coursework or internship experience. Familiarity with the HubSpot CRM platform, email marketing tools, and basic data analytics is valuable, with certifications such as HubSpot Academy’s Inbound Marketing certificate being a plus. Strong organization, attention to detail, and proactive communication skills help interns effectively collaborate with teams and manage multiple projects. These abilities enable interns to contribute meaningfully to marketing campaigns and client projects while learning industry best practices.

What kind of projects and team collaborations can I expect during a HubSpot internship?

As a Hubspot Intern, you will often work closely with marketing, sales, or customer success teams on real-world projects such as content creation, campaign analysis, CRM management, or lead generation initiatives. Interns are typically encouraged to participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and may be assigned to assist with ongoing client campaigns. The environment tends to be fast-paced but supportive, offering mentorship and opportunities to learn from experienced professionals. This collaborative structure not only helps build practical skills but also allows you to network within the organization and discover potential career paths in digital marketing or HubSpot-related roles.

Job description

617MediaGroup, one of the fastest-growing progressive communications agencies in the U.S., is looking for a PAID Partnership Development Intern to join our growing team. At 617MediaGroup, we don't just accept difference — we celebrate it, we support it, and we thrive on it for the benefit of our employees, our clients, and our communities. We believe that candidates from underrepresented backgrounds must be centered in the work we do. We strongly encourage applications from marginalized communities.
Who we are:
We're veteran campaigners, communicators, designers, strategists, storytellers, and web developers. We love what we do. We're results-driven. And we only work with clients we believe in.
What we do:
We move public opinion. We win tough fights. We tell stories simply, and with maximum impact. We offer comprehensive communication services: from earned media to paid, from digital strategy to eye-catching design. Websites. Video. We do it all for the benefit of our clients' social justice causes and campaigns.
This is a part-time, paid internship ($20.36/hour). To be considered for an internship, applicants must be able to complete a minimum of 20 hours per week. Occasional night and weekend availability is necessary.
Who you are:
• You've had internships before, preferably with a focus on partnership development or marketing
• You have experience working in HubSpot
• You're dogged and organized
• You have a problem-solver mindset with a can-do attitude
• You thrive in fast-paced environments
• You want to learn and grow with an exciting, mission-driven communications firm
• You're ready to hit the ground running
What you'll be doing:
• Researching contact information for prospecting
• Uploading contacts and deals to Hubspot
• Reviewing and editing details of existing contacts in Hubspot to align with marketing sequences
• Cataloging business development decks to develop templates and ready-made slide
• Updating deals in Hubspot
• Taking notes for partnership development check-in calls
All employees in this position are expected to retain a valid driver's license and a purchased or leased automobile for personal transportation to work events with a valid inspection sticker. If this expectation will create an unmitigable hardship, and you would like to request an exemption, please note that in your cover letter.
Please note that we receive hundreds of applications each month, and we are not able to respond to every individual application. If you do not receive a response from our organization within 90 days either in the form of initial outreach or follow-up correspondence, please assume that your application has not been chosen for the specific career opportunity to which you applied. You may re-apply at any time for future opportunities. While we do our best to ensure timely and thorough correspondence with applicants, the volume of applications we receive does not allow us to respond individually in all cases. Thank you again for your interest in pursuing employment with 617MediaGroup.
