Work Type: Full Time

Shift: Shift 2/10:00:00 PM to 6:00:30 AM

Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$25.06 - $32.58 / hour

Summary

Reports to the Manager and/or supervisor of Sterile Processing. Maintains competency in all areas of sterile processing (Decontamination, Assembly, Sterilization, Case Pick, and case cart transport) and holds and maintains HSPA CRCST or CBSPD certification. Leads the team to deliver high quality and reliable instrumentation to the surgical services customers and patients. Plays a primary role in precepting and team training and acts as a leader and expert resource on the team at all times. Responsible for navigating the flow and priorities of the department to meet the customer needs. Participates in, leads team huddles, contributes ideas to support continuous improvement and the quality management system, and participates in team projects. Assists the SPD site manager in correcting incomplete trays, missing instruments, tray maintenance schedules, and standard work audit & coaching, regulatory requirements, and documentation. Responsible for adhering to Lee Health policies and protocols and AAMI, APIC, and AORN standards.

Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: minimum 6 monthsSterile Processing experience required.

Licensure: None

Certifications: HSPA CRCST or CBSPD Certification required; HSPA CIS,CER Certification preferred.

Other: Read,write, and speak English for work related communication
