Summary:
Under the general direction of the Director, Global HSE, the Field HSE Specialist will provide HSE support at customer sites and other field locations. This position will interface with employees, customers, product delivery drivers, field service representatives, the global HSE team and others as needed. This position is a safety sensitive position.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and conduct customer site assessments, including working with customers on needed improvements to ensure flagged items have been resolved.  Ensures adequate documentation and closure of site assessments.
  • Identify hazards associated with delivery of LSPI product to customer sites and work performed on customer sites, communicate hazards and work with employees to develop appropriate control measures.
  • Analyze site assessment data to identify trends and assist with the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of risk management programs.
  • Perform employee observations to ensure compliance with HSE rules and company procedures.
  • Develop and conduct training as necessary.
  • Lead and / or participate in incident investigations.
  • Assist in global HSE audits / inspections as necessary.
  • Provide HSE support to other areas as needed.
  • Provide short-term / as needed for the manufacturing facility.
  • Coordinated with FSRs to correct issues with skids when they are identified.
  • Plan and conduct Safety Topics for Field Services monthly update meeting.
  • Provide training data for FSR monthly safety meeting
  • Lead site assessment meeting with TSEs to ensure site assessments are updated with pertinent information after assessments are completed.
  • Track and input KPI information into the KPI dashboard
  • This position is considered safety sensitive.

  • Requires a current/valid Passport or the ability to obtain one with no precluding factors.


Education:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or in a related field preferred
• CSS or CDS preferred


Experience:
• Five or more years’ experience in a Transportation, HSE or closely related role
• Petroleum pipeline industry or chemical manufacturing experience preferred.


Skills & Competencies:
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently, self-motivation and personal initiative a must.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and FHWA regulations.
• Strong computer and software skills.
• Willing to work non-traditional hours when necessary.
• Willing/Able to work in various environmental conditions (heat, humidity, cold, wet).
• 60-70% or more travel on a regular basis to customer sites, sometimes with short notice.
