TMS International is the leading provider of on-site, industrial steel mill services for steelmakers around the world. Our services help lessen steelmakers' environmental impacts and contribute to a cleaner environment.

We are looking for a Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Manager to join our team in Decatur, AL.

As the HSE Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing policies and procedures that ensure the health, safety, and environmental standards of our operations. You will work closely with various departments to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices.

Pay: 85,000-90,000 DOE

HSE Manager Responsibilities

  • Administers the attendance and safety incentives for each month.
  • Supports company policies, dress codes, work rules, safety rules, and ethics.
  • Supports the day to day operation of the Company wide EH&S program.
  • Monitors and documents compliance with applicable OSHA, Federal, State and local laws and regulations.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare detailed reports, and recommend improvements to prevent recurrence
  • Prepares required reports to corporate headquarters
  • Collaborate with management and employees to promote a safety culture and enhance safety awareness
  • Maintains library of safety and environment documentation and revises when necessary.
  • Documents and monitors prevention training and reporting on accidents and injuries.

HSE Manager Qualifications

  • Minimum of an Associates Degree or 3 years work experience managing an industrial safety program.
  • Applicants with Bachelors in an ABET accredited Safety program are preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective safety programs and training
  • Must be fluent in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
  • Must be a "Team Player' and have strong work ethics.
