AAMCO Transmission & Total Car Care in St Matthews is currently seeking ​an Automotive Technician to become an integral part of our leadership team!

Here is what we're looking for.

  • Motivated hands-on technician with a instinct for problem solving
  • High energy and enthusiastic, passionate about cars
  • Commitment to quality and attention to detail 
  • Strong communication skills both with customers and your team
  • ASE certification or willingness to obtain it (We can help you get there!) 
  • Diagnostic skills
  • Computer Reflashing experience
  • Engine repair experience
  • Transmission diagnostics, removal & installation is a plus!
  • Performs a full range of skilled automotive repair work, such as minor tune-ups, suspension repair, electrical system servicing, engine repair, transmission service & repairs.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic and repair equipment
  • Ability to prioritize, execute, and deliver vehicle repairs in a timely manner

Transmission rebuilding experience is not necessary, however is a plus!

Daily Tasks:

  • Diagnose and repair automotive vehicles
  • Perform routine vehicle tune-ups and maintenance
  • Provide labor and time estimates for automotive repairs
  • Inspect and test vehicles for necessary adjustments
  • Help with parts ordering, pricing & returns

Requirements:

  • Some Automotive repair experience
  • Must have own tools
  • Experience using store equipment such as lifts, scanners, transmission flushers, jacks, etc. proficiently
  • Availability to work a 5 day work schedule with no evenings, Saturdays, Sundays
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Valid drivers license
  • Must have high school diploma/GED
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
