Description

The Ohio Army National Guard has a requirement to ensure medical readiness for over 9500 Service Members by providing services directly promoting comprehensive medical readiness and ensuring global deployability. The execution of non-clinical case management services every day. The personnel must work diligently and meticulously to coordinate, maintain, and organize with the Soldiers, Units, Medical Readiness NCOs (MRNCOs), and State Surgeon's Office Personnel to ensure each Soldiers' individual cases are being processed, organized, and updated to maintain each Soldiers' records for their medical readiness and deployability.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain Soldier medical and dental records in compliance with Army regulations
  • Create, review, scan, upload, and index records in the Health Readiness Records (HRR) system
  • Safeguard sensitive medical information and ensure proper access controls
  • Review records for completeness for training, transfers, separations, and Medical Readiness Events (MREs)
  • Prescreen medical records prior to MREs to identify deployment-limiting conditions
  • Conduct quarterly medical and dental records inventories
  • Assist Soldiers with scheduling medical and dental appointments
  • Participate in monthly medical case (eCase) reviews and complete follow-up actions
  • Submit documentation to MEDCOM and the MEARNG medical records custodian
  • Create medical records for new accessions within required timelines

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with medical records, healthcare administration, or administrative support
  • Basic clerical and computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office 365
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Prior military, government, or healthcare experience preferred

Work Environment

  • Non-clinical setting supporting military medical readiness operations.
  • Combination of office, event-based, and potential field support during MREs and SRP events.
  • May require travel and flexible scheduling based on operational requirements.
  • As an SCA position this pays $5.09/hour up to 40 hours/week for benefits
