Job Summary

Monitors the company's fleet of shopping carts, handbaskets and motorized accessibility carts to ensure adequate presence at each location to support and grow store sales. Coordinates relationship with outside vendors who provide equipment, services and repairs related to carts, handbaskets and motorized accessibility carts. Regularly analyzes data to identify actionable trends relating to shopping carts, handbaskets and motorized accessibility carts; develops and provides appropriate strategic adjustments tailored to the needs of specific retail locations to management.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain internal cart inventory monitoring system to identify/address trends of concern and ensure accurate & timely updates/entries from retail locations.
  • Perform regular analysis and reporting of cart inventory metrics by store/district for management.
  • Coordinates all cart related orders, services and installations for new store construction and openings.
  • Track and maintain awareness of cart fleet.
  • Work directly with stores to address cart fleet concerns with strategic action that includes cart repair/maintenance, off-site cart collection and fleet leveling.
  • Forecast cart purchases to ensure on time fulfillment that ensure stores have the quantity of carts needed to maintain strong sales growth and meet increases in seasonal business.
  • Provide leadership with analysis and trends that illustrate and inform the decision-making process relating to shopping cart, handbasket and motorized accessibility cart purchases & replenishment.
  • Obtain quotes from vendors and submit purchase order requests.
  • Monitor orders and services for accurate and timely fulfillment.
  • Work to efficiently level fleets within a district when cart conversions occur or urgent needs arise that cannot be addressed with timely order fulfilment.
  • Act as central point of contact within WinCo that manages relationship with cart containment and cart push theft mitigation technology vendors.
  • Identify opportunities and propose use of cart management/containment services for locations with emerging needs.
  • Coordinate projects involving internal teams and external vendors.
  • Maintain oversight of in-progress installations and projects relating to shopping carts.
  • Oversee efforts to collect and return shopping carts taken off property utilizing outside services and vendors.
  • Ensure that motorized mobility carts are maintained and geo-fencing services are configured correctly.
  • Send and receive information by computer terminal.
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or needed.

Requirements

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • At least two (2) years with primary responsibility for asset protection and/or financial report analysis.

  • Demonstrating effective oral and written communication skills necessary to communicate with all levels of internal and external team members, vendors and customers.

  • Demonstrating ability to efficiently prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a high pressure, fast paced environment.

  • Showing initiative and self-direction to perform a variety of simultaneous skills independently.

  • Exhibiting general knowledge of C.C.T.V. equipment for video research purposes.

  • Applying knowledge of general office practices and procedures and excellent organizational skills.

  • Demonstrating working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) software.

Ability to:

  • Accept direction from multiple sources and effectively manage time to ensure deadlines are met.

  • Demonstrate initiative and self-direction to perform a variety of simultaneous skills (multi-tasking).

  • Interpret and relate policies and procedures.
