Job Title: HRIS Administrator

Industry: Hospitality / Retail Operations

Location: Alexandria, VA

Assignment Type: Contract-to-Hire (6-Month Contract with Conversion Potential)

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00/hour

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (40 hours/week). Position is fully onsite initially, with potential for a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite) after successful training and onboarding.

Job Description:

The HRIS Administrator will support HR operations by managing employment eligibility verification processes, maintaining employee records within the HRIS, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations. This role is heavily focused on data accuracy, auditing, reporting, and supporting ongoing HR system initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review employment eligibility documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Process electronic employment verification cases and monitor outstanding actions.
  • Manage follow-up activities related to verification discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.
  • Perform audits of employee records and HR documentation to maintain compliance standards.
  • Enter, update, and maintain employee data within the HRIS platform.
  • Assist with system testing, data cleanup efforts, and HR technology projects.
  • Generate reports and analyze workforce data to support HR operations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
  • Support administrative HR initiatives and special projects as assigned.
  • Coordinate distribution and tracking of HR-related materials and resources.

Qualifications:

  • 1.5–2+ years of HRIS, HR Operations, HR Compliance, or related data administration experience.
  • Strong experience processing and auditing Form I-9 documentation.
  • Experience working with employment verification systems and compliance processes.
  • Previous experience supporting large employee populations in high-volume environments.
  • Hands-on experience with UKG/UltiPro strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of HRIS/HRMS platforms and employee data management best practices.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
