Job description

Job Details:

The primary purpose of this position is to lead and direct a GP PS Hatchery Team to deliver highquality products that meet customer expectations while achieving financial and business objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing quality products to customers globally

  • Achieving production and financial goals

  • Developing and maintaining effective communication with customers, shared services, and other hatcheries

  • Meeting HR and safety objectives that support hatchery facilities

  • Developing, evaluating, and implementing new processes and technologies

  • Maintaining compliance with domestic and international regulations governing Cobb business activities

  • Recruiting, developing, and maintaining a qualified team

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a general professional field, typically obtained through four (4) years of college, or equivalent work experience preferred.

Experience

  • Four (4) or more years of poultry management-related experience preferred.

Computer Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals using available computer programs.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Direct supervision of:

    • Four(4)+ salaried team members

    • Approximately 40+ hourly team members

Travel

  • Domestic travel approximately four (4) times per year.

Biosecurity Requirements

  • This jobsite is a biosecure environment requiring showerin/showerout procedures, which may include multiple showers during the workday.

  • The Company provides all required clothing and footwear.

  • No jewelry may be worn except approved medical ID jewelry.

  • Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid contact with avian species (chickens, ducks, birds).

  • Must follow the Company Animal Welfare Policy at all times.

  • Must follow all Cobb Farms Hatcheries Biosecurity Standards.

Physical Requirements

  • Must use safe lifting techniques.

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects or controls, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, talk, and hear.

  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment

  • Must follow all required safety procedures and wear designated personal protective equipment when visiting facilities.
