Job description

General Summary:
The Human Resources Coordinator will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's Human Resources department, while maintaining confidentiality. Key areas of responsibility include payroll, onboarding, employee relations, and clerical support.

Essential Duties:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic and paper human resource files, records, and documentation. Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
Perform payroll functions including basic payroll inputs, reviewing timesheets and payroll registers, answering associate questions, correcting processing errors, reimbursements, import files, etc.
New hire onboarding, including but not limited to conducting orientation and E-Verify, entering new hires into HRIS and spreadsheets, creating ID badges and personnel folders. Conduct new hire 30 day follow up.
Assist with internal and external recruiting as needed.
Create and distribute internal communications.
Process associate discount and rewards programs.
Coordinate milestone anniversary and retirement acknowledgement and celebrations. Assists with planning and execution of other special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, etc.
PTO payouts and file maintenance related to terminations.
Assist with wage surveys.
Provide responses to DWD related to unemployment.
Assist with benefit administration, ordering insurance cards, enrollment reminders, answer basic questions, log payments, assist with open enrollment, etc.
Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
Monitor company hotline.
Reporting: Complete EEO-1 and VETS 4212 reporting. Run and compile monthly and weekly reports. Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
Process main and provide general clerical support to the HR department.
Performs other duties as assigned.
