HR Administrator Duration: 2+ Month Contract Location: Spring, TX — Onsite Monday–Friday Compensation: $21–$26/hour Opportunity A growing services company is seeking an experienced HR Administrator to support a recent audit and assist with an HR records and compliance cleanup project. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented HR professional who enjoys working with employee data, documentation, and compliance-related projects. Position Summary The HR Administrator will provide day-to-day support across core HR operations, with a strong focus on employee records, HRIS administration, onboarding documentation, compliance, and audit support. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable handling confidential information, and able to work efficiently through a high volume of documentation. Key Responsibilities
  • Support onboarding by collecting, reviewing, and maintaining new-hire documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and personnel files.
  • Update and maintain employee information within the HRIS, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Review and audit employee records to identify discrepancies and coordinate necessary corrections.
  • Support I-9 compliance and audits, including reviewing forms for completeness, identifying discrepancies, and assisting with corrections.
  • Assist with employment eligibility verification and related compliance processes, including E-Verify as applicable.
  • Respond to routine employee and manager questions regarding HR policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Process employee status changes, transfers, terminations, and other HR transactions.
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and documentation to support HR audits and compliance initiatives.
  • Maintain HR forms, templates, and process documentation.
  • Partner with HR leadership and managers to resolve employee record and administrative issues.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
  • Assist with HR projects, process improvements, and other administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications
  • 1–2+ years of HR administrative experience, including relevant internship or hands-on HR experience.
  • Experience with employee records, onboarding, HRIS administration, and HR documentation.
  • Working knowledge of I-9 requirements and I-9 auditing preferred.
  • Experience reviewing high volumes of employee records and identifying documentation discrepancies.
  • HRIS experience required; Dayforce or similar systems preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to organize, analyze, and audit employee data.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proactive, dependable, and process-oriented approach to HR administration.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience supporting HR compliance audits or cleanup projects.
  • Familiarity with I-9, E-Verify, and employment eligibility requirements.
  • Experience working in a high-volume HR environment.
  • Experience identifying and implementing HR process improvements.
