The HP Corporate Affairs and Communications team is defined by passion, curiosity, agility, and a global mindset. As Director of HP Solutions Communications, you will lead the overall global HP Solutions business-partnering across Corporate Affairs, HPS, the markets, and corporate marketing to translate strategy into compelling communication strategies.

Job Summary

This role leads the HP Solutions Communications team and is accountable for driving stakeholder relationships, leading communication efforts for product launches, and trends, and driving key product PR strategies aligned with business objectives. This role serves as a trusted senior advisor, shaping positioning, building a team, partnering with corporate marketing, and ensuring alignment between communications strategy and business priorities. This division includes emerging businesses from HP and offers a unique opportunity to tell an innovation story. Last but not least, this also involves managing a high-performing team, advancing innovation in communications practices, tools, and processes to improve effectiveness and efficiency at scale.

Responsibilities

HP Solutions Communications Strategy, Storytelling, and Influence

  • Own and evolve HP Solutions communications strategy, ensuring clear, differentiated, and consistent narratives aligned to business priorities.

  • Lead communications for product and services launches (NPIs/NXIs), campaigns, and strategic announcements through coordination with marketing and other teams to create cohesive and impactful launch campaigns.

  • Drive earned media programs and thought leadership around HP innovation, including presence at key industry events.

  • Oversee product reviews strategy, content development, and priority market outreach.

Executive Partnership, Strategic Counsel and Cross-Functional Orchestration

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders, providing counsel on positioning, messaging, and reputation.

  • Serve as a central connector across Corporate Affairs, Marketing, and Business Units to ensure aligned, integrated communications programs.

  • Cultivate and maintains relationships with top-tier media, analysts and industry influencers that are important to the organization and the business.

Team Leadership, Operations & Agency Management

  • Lead a high-performing global communications team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

  • Improve communications effectiveness through process optimization, tools, and measurement frameworks.

  • Manage agency partners to deliver high-quality, scalable outcomes through a well-managed budget, operations and execution quality.

  • Explore and leverage emerging channels and AI-driven communications approaches to extend reach and influence

Education & Experience

  • BA or BS in Communications, Marketing or Business Administration.

  • 10+ years of work experience in communications, journalism, or marketing.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Ability to work across a matrixed organization and lead through influence.

  • Understands newsworthy storytelling.

  • Superior storytelling, writing and editing skills; strong oral communications skills and ability to convey complex ideas.
