Job description

Front Desk Admin (The Face of Pathways)

Pathways to Life, Inc. | Nags Head, NC

Let's be real... this isn't "just a front desk job."

You're the first impression. The vibe setter. The calm in the chaos.

At Pathways to Life, our Front Desk Admin is the person who keeps everything flowing-welcoming members, supporting staff, and making sure the day runs smoother than it should.

If you're organized, people-focused, and know how to handle a busy office without breaking a sweat, keep reading.

What You'll Be Doing (aka your daily impact)
  • Be the go-to person at the front desk-greeting members, families, and visitors with professionalism and warmth

  • Answer calls, route messages, and keep communication moving (no dropped balls here)

  • Keep the office running behind the scenes-scheduling, scanning, organizing, and supporting the team

  • Help maintain a clean, welcoming, and professional space

  • Support compliance by handling documents carefully and protecting confidential information (HIPAA matters here)

  • Assist leadership and clinical staff with day-to-day administrative needs

What Makes You a Great Fit
  • You're naturally organized and detail-oriented

  • You don't get overwhelmed-you get focused

  • You know how to talk to people (and you actually like it)

  • You can juggle multiple tasks without things slipping through the cracks

  • You show up on time, ready to go, and dependable

The Basics
  • High School Diploma required (Associate's preferred)

  • 1+ year of admin/front desk experience (healthcare = bonus points)

  • Comfortable with computers (Google, email, basic systems)

Why People Like Working Here
  • You're part of something meaningful-we serve real people, not just paperwork

  • Supportive team environment (we actually help each other here)

  • Stable, growing behavioral health organization

  • Opportunity to grow if you show initiative

A Quick Reality Check

This role matters. A lot.

You'll be trusted with:

  • First impressions

  • Confidential information

  • Keeping things organized when others aren't

If you like staying busy, being needed, and making an impact every day-you'll thrive here.
