Join Our Team as a Marketing Communications Associate at Tahoe Donner Association!

Is graphic design one of your superpowers, with an eye for both creativity and detail?  If so, Tahoe Donner Association invites you to become a key player in our dedicated team as a Marketing Communications Associate.


Type: Hourly – Full-Time Year-Round

 Overview:

The Marketing Communications Associate is responsible for assisting the communications department in designing and producing all printed materials for the association, including amenity, promotional, safety and wayfinding signage. This role also assists with general website information updates, online store product updates and email proofing and editing. The Marketing Communication Associate maintains the project management software that keeps the communications team organized and on track to meet deadlines. The position requires initiative, strong organizational skills, excellent time management, considerable flexibility and a great deal of creativity.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service to members, guests, business partners and employees. 

  1. Adobe Creative Suite Experience (specifically: InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop/Lightroom)
  2. Assisting Lead Graphic Designer with designing and printing of various letters, reports, menus, flyers, advertisements, brochures, business cards, charts and forms with accuracy and neatness. 
  3. Assist Communications Lead with creating, proofing and managing email communications and maintaining the updated and accurate email list in MailChimp.
  4. Team owner and organizational lead within task management software, Basecamp. Requires extreme attention to detail and a keen sense of urgency.
  5. Provide excellent service to key stakeholders, customers, business partners, and employees.
  6. Knowledge of A.P. journalistic style and the ability to work with other publications to create branded materials in the required format for both PC and Mac users.
  7. In addition to proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, this role also requires proficiency in Microsoft Office, MailChimp, WordPress, Happy or Not and Basecamp.
  8. Maintenance and continuous updating of WordPress website.
  9. Team owner of ShopTD, Tahoe Donner’s online e-commerce portal including the testing, optimizing, reporting and management of all online sales products.
  10. Develop and maintain working knowledge of interdepartmental procedures, systems, and association policies.
  11. Baseline proficiency with video editing software and video hosting, sharing, and services platforms like YouTube and Vimeo, or willingness to learn.
