What are 'housing included' jobs?

'Housing included' jobs are employment opportunities where the employer provides accommodation as part of the compensation package. These roles are common in industries like hospitality, agriculture, education (such as boarding schools), and remote locations where housing may be difficult to secure. The provided housing can range from shared dormitories to private apartments, depending on the employer and job type. Including housing can help attract candidates, especially for seasonal or hard-to-fill positions. It's important to clarify details about the housing arrangement before accepting a job offer.

What Are Different Careers That Include Housing?

Careers with included housing are most common in the hospitality and camping industry, but there are also seasonal positions in nursing and teaching, such as working at an international school or a boarding school that provides accommodations for workers. In hospitality and camping, you may work at a resort during the high season or off-season. You maintain the grounds and complete any repairs. Campground hosts may bring their housing, such as an RV or a trailer, to live in, but in many cases, the company may provide you with housing.
