About the role
Directs a section of the Housekeeping staff to assure that guest rooms and public areas are cleaned to exacting standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Inspects the work of a team of Room Attendants and House Attendants responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of a specific area of the hotel. Trains and coaches the staff.
2. Schedules work to be done daily and monitors each Room Attendant's daily progress. Inspects completed rooms to assure that all standards have been met. When standards have been missed, brings employee back to room to correct the deficiency. Coordinates work orders in assigned section. Follows up to be sure work is completed. Releases checkout rooms to be sold.
3. Monitors the performance of House Attendants. Assures that there are sufficient supplies on the guest floors. Checks cleanliness of guest corridors, stairwells, elevators and Linen Closets.
4. Executes inventories of linens and all Housekeeping supplies.
5. Complies with Four Seasons' Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
6. Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assists with responsibilities and duties in the absence or heavy volume in the areas of Lobby Attendant, Room Attendant and House Attendant.
Minimum Requirement
1. Must be able to work all shifts including, AM's, PM's, weekends, and holidays.
2. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time up to 8 hours a day.
3. Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed accuracy, follow through, and work with a minimum supervision.
4. Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English.
5. Ability to grasp, bend, and stoop; push or pull heavy loads weighing up to 50 lbs.
6. Six to twelve months of related or equivalent experience is required.
7. Requires a working knowledge of the housekeeping aspect of services, policies or operations and general knowledge of the hotel.
8. Requires knowledge or the ability to operate computer equipment and the reservations system.
