A SAMPLE DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HOUSEKEEPING DISPATCHER

  • The Housekeeping Dispatcher is responsible for scheduling the work activities of the Guest Room Attendants and Hotel Housemen and other housekeeping support personnel to ensure proper staffing levels are maintained consistently.
  • Communicates via radio dispatch to staff to respond to special service requests, emergencies, etc. Assigns duties in coordination with Housekeeping Manager and Shift Supervisors with a balanced rooms/floor assignment per team member. Dispatch QA Inspectors to the requisite number of room/area inspections to be performed daily.
  • Receive facility related work order requests and dispatch to facilities maintenance team. Receive cleaning related work orders (ex.: spill/extraction requests, etc.) and dispatch specialty projects/heavy duty cleaning personnel to take corrective action. Close out work orders as they are completed and inspected for quality control.
