Hospital HousekeeperJob Overview

St. David’s Healthcare is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented EVS Technicians to support hospital operations by maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment. This role plays a critical part in patient care by ensuring rooms are properly cleaned, disinfected, and prepared for incoming patients.


Key Responsibilities
  • Deep clean non-occupied patient rooms within a 20–30 minute timeframe
  • Make beds, flip mattresses, and sanitize all surfaces
  • Remove and properly dispose of linens using designated procedures
  • Clean and disinfect isolation rooms while following strict safety protocols
  • Mop floors using string mops and perform thorough sanitation procedures
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, nurses, physicians, and team members
  • Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and in accordance with hospital standards

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 6 months of hospital, hotel, or housekeeping experience
  • Strong cleaning and sanitation skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Ability to work independently and stay on task without direct supervision
  • Comfortable working in a hospital environment and interacting with staff and patients

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in janitorial, custodial, or home care roles

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
