About this Position: FNS is looking to hire an experienced In-house Construction Coordinator to work with our Tennessee team. You will be involved and have oversight on many types of HFC/Broadband projects including: BAU, spans, relos, Node splits, Hyperbuild, Newbuild, Metro-E, etc.

About Our Organization: Fiber Network Services (FNS) is a communications contractor specializing in the construction of fiber optic and broadband cable networks. With Master Construction Agreements with Cox Communications, Comcast Cable, Segra, Suddenlink, Windstream, and RCN in the States of Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, Ohio, Florida, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and in Washington D.C., we are a trusted resource for construction and maintenance of high-speed internet connectivity via Fiber Optic and Coaxial systems.

Responsibilities:
* Must be willing to commute to Johnson City Office for first 3 months until our Knoxville Office is officially established
*Perform walkouts pre/post-construction and verify as-builtsTroubleshoot any build-out issues in the field
* Able to identify safe working conditions in an outside right-of-way environment
* Identify permitting requirements as needed
* Creating a bill of materials (BOM)
* Compile notice-to-proceed (NTP) packages for contractors
* Able to scope, plan and execute HFC projects to contractors and be able to track and manage project lifecycles, pay contractors, and submit to final client invoicing.
* Able to perform effective quality control of all project work performed
* Provide weekly reports to management on construction activity
* Follow-up with city municipalities regarding permitting issues

Qualifications:
* Must have 3+ years of hands-on experience in HFC or similar outside network plant construction
* Educated on local area dig laws
* Strong leadership skills to mentor and influence subcontractors and vendors
* Customer service acumen to interpret, communicate, and help deliver client needs
* Impressive ability to organize and prioritize projects
* Strong understanding of fiber and coax outside network plant
* Computer proficiency with Microsoft tools to create, manage, and present data and reporting to various stakeholders and management
* Interested and able to work overtime occasionally to meet project demands
* Must be able to walk extensively, sit, stand, and climb stairs throughout the day
* Possession of a valid driver's license
* Ability to pass a drug screening
* Ability to pass a background check
* Ability to speak fluent English
* Education: High School diploma or G.E.D
