Job Summary

The Lead CT/MRI Technologist assists the Imaging Leaders with day-to-day operations, including staff coordination, inventory management, image critique, and onboarding new employees.

Serves as the first point of contact for CT and MRI staff, providing accessible communication and leadership support to staff. Will also perform CT Exams.

Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality imaging procedures following departmental protocols and physician instructions.
  • Recognize and address urgent clinical concerns promptly.
  • Maintains staff schedules
  • Maintains modality supply inventory and management
  • Conducts routine image critique and quality control (QC) reviews for modalities to maintain consistency in positioning, technique, and protocol compliance
  • Oversees modality equipment and escalates any issues promptly
  • Oversees student technologist training, mentorship, and orientation of new staff.
  • Participate in quality improvement, performance initiatives, and accreditation requirements (e.g., ACR standards).
  • Assists Imaging Leaders in protocol, policy, and workflow reviews + updates
  • Ensures adherence to hospital policies, radiation safety standards, MRI safety zones, and infection control practices.
  • Enters Event/Risk reports timely
Work Experience
  • 5+ years of CT or MRI experience (required)
  • 1+ years of leadership experience (preferred)
Qualifications
  • Graduate of a 2-year accredited Radiography Program
  • Current ARRT certification
  • ARRT (CT)
  • IEMA licensure (required)
  • BLS certification (required)
  • IV certification (preferred)
