This position supports the department, faculty, and residents by ensuring compliance within their school accreditation requirements, managing program logistics, and maintaining accurate records. The coordinator oversees the recruitment process, schedules rotations, organizes evaluations, and serves as a key liaison between residents, faculty, hospital departments, and external accrediting bodies. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment are essential.Education & Experience

Education and Experience Required:

Degree (Associate's or Bachelor's) and two (2) years of administrative support experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively coordinate with students, faculty, and external partners; excels in organization and problem-solving to manage complex placement logistics; maintains a high level of attention to detail in handling compliance and documentation; and effectively prioritizes tasks and manages time in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with program guidelines set by state, national, and university accrediting bodies to maintain ongoing accreditation. Assists with site visit preparation and compiles required reports and surveys.
  • Manages student placement processes in accordance with established protocols, including coordinating residency and fellowship matches via the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
  • Develops and implements orientation programs; provides guidance on academic and programmatic issues as needed.
  • Contributes to the creation and execution of departmental policies and procedures; assists in managing program budgets and expenditures.
  • Oversees maintenance of program records, files, databases, and program-related web content to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
  • Coordinates and supervises required educational activities, including scheduling, lectureships, and evaluations.
  • Manages student and resident rotations, ensures appropriate scheduling, and monitors completion of all required evaluations.
  • Independently plans and organizes lectureships and special events, including graduation banquets.
  • Prepares Program Letters of Agreement (PLAs) and coordinates the ERAS and National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) interview process.
  • Maintains Accreditation Data System and tracks updates related to the education programs.
