Job description

Overview

We are seeking experienced Aerial Permitting Specialists to support large-scale fiber network expansion projects. In this role, you will manage end-to-end aerial permitting activities, ensuring all submissions meet utility requirements, regulatory standards, and internal quality expectations. This is a fully remote, contract opportunity supporting long-term infrastructure growth initiatives.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage aerial joint-use permitting from application through approval
  • Coordinate make-ready engineering and work closely with pole owners and utilities
  • Prepare and submit accurate, high-quality permit packages with minimal rework
  • Ensure compliance with FCC regulations and NESC clearance requirements
  • Track and manage multiple permitting workflows to meet project timelines
  • Collaborate with internal teams including engineering, project management, and construction

Required Skills & Experience
  • 10+ years proven hands-on experience with aerial permitting in telecom or fiber projects
  • Strong knowledge of joint-use applications and make-ready coordination
  • Working knowledge of FCC regulations and NESC standards
  • Proficiency with permitting systems such as AldenOne, NJUNS, SPANS, JUMS, APS, or similar
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail with a focus on error-free submissions

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Madison, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $33.00/hr.
