Job description

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for professionals experienced in manufacturing, consumer goods, production workflows, supply chain planning, quality assurance, product development, brand management, and structured enterprise documentation.

This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on structured manufacturing and consumer goods workflow review, production documentation, supply chain materials, quality review, product and packaging documentation, brand-level planning materials, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will apply their manufacturing or CPG expertise to review realistic enterprise scenarios, evaluate workflow requirements, prepare structured written outputs, and support accurate, evidence-based manufacturing and consumer goods tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Professionals in this role may contribute to:

Production, Plant & Enterprise Workflow Review

  • Review manufacturing scenarios involving production reports, SOPs, process documentation, plant workflows, production metrics, and enterprise reporting materials
  • Evaluate production materials against source records, defined process requirements, quality standards, and expected workflow outcomes
  • Support structured review of production summaries, process documents, manufacturing dashboards, and cross-functional workflow materials
  • Identify missing information, documentation gaps, process inconsistencies, and expected manufacturing review outcomes

Supply Chain, S&OP & Supplier Documentation

  • Review supply chain scenarios involving S&OP decks, supplier scorecards, BOMs, procurement materials, sourcing plans, and inventory-related documentation
  • Evaluate planning and supplier materials against defined business requirements, production constraints, service targets, and documented criteria
  • Support structured review of SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell FactoryTalk, Tableau, Power BI, or similar enterprise workflow materials
  • Prepare clear written explanations for supply chain and manufacturing decisions based on source materials and verifiable criteria

Consumer Goods, Product & Brand Support

  • Review consumer goods scenarios involving brand P&L models, product development materials, packaging documentation, category plans, quality records, and regulatory or EHS-related materials
  • Evaluate product, packaging, and brand-level documentation against source materials, market requirements, cost assumptions, and business goals
  • Support structured review of R&D materials, product launch documentation, supplier records, quality materials, and brand or category planning outputs
  • Maintain accuracy, consistency, and professional judgment across submitted work

Ideal Profile

Strong candidates may have:

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, consumer goods, production management, plant workflows, quality assurance, supply chain planning, procurement, sourcing, R&D, product development, packaging engineering, brand management, category management, or related enterprise roles
  • Experience in one or more areas such as production reporting, quality assurance, FDA/USDA compliance, EHS documentation, S&OP, procurement, supplier management, product development, packaging, brand P&L review, or category planning
  • Familiarity with tools and systems such as SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell FactoryTalk, Tableau, Power BI, ERP platforms, MES systems, or similar enterprise tools
  • Comfort reading and preparing manufacturing and CPG artifacts such as production reports, brand P&L models, S&OP decks, supplier scorecards, BOMs, SOPs, quality records, packaging materials, and enterprise summaries
  • Strong analytical thinking and written communication skills
  • Ability to translate manufacturing and consumer goods workflows into clear, structured task documentation

Educational Background

  • A degree or professional background in supply chain, manufacturing, industrial engineering, business administration, consumer goods, product management, quality, packaging engineering, finance, or a related field is helpful
  • Equivalent practical experience in manufacturing, CPG, supply chain, production workflows, product development, quality review, or brand/category management is also highly relevant

Nice to Have

  • Experience at a large consumer goods company, manufacturer, contract manufacturer, food and beverage company, personal care company, household goods company, or comparable enterprise environment
  • Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell FactoryTalk, Tableau, Power BI, FDA/USDA documentation, EHS workflows, or enterprise reporting systems
  • Experience preparing or reviewing production reports, S&OP decks, supplier scorecards, BOMs, SOPs, brand P&L models, packaging documentation, or quality records
  • PMP, Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, CPIM, CSCP, quality, supply chain, manufacturing, or product management certifications are helpful
  • Strong attention to detail in production-heavy, documentation-heavy, and cross-functional enterprise environments
