Production Shift Coordinator

Arconic is seeking a Production Shift Coordinator to join our Aluminum (AEX) business unit in Lafayette, IN.
 


The primary purpose of this role is to provide support to the Production Supervisor to ensure each production shift is run efficiently and effectively.

Essential Functions: The Production Shift Coordinator within Lafayette AEX requires technical and interpersonal skills essential to teamwork.  General duties include but are not limited to: 

  • Ordering production parts and supplies from the storeroom.
  • Ensuring production jobs are entered into the database correctly.
  • Stocking and collecting hourly production forms.
  • Work with the planning department to identify where active production work is during the casting or extrusion process.
  • Identifying production material on the production floor such as metal billet and parts.
  • Posting the staffing line ups, shift staffing assignment and general announcements.
  • Staff the employee check in desk prior to shift and provide daily job assignments.
  • Ensuring that employees are receiving and actively participating in their assigned training.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • A minimum of 1+ years of manufacturing or warehouse experience.
  • This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Qualified candidate must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the relevant government agency. Business demands may require employer to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

  • Able to be self-sufficient in a fast-paced environment to achieve departmental and plant goals.
  • Must have applicable experience solving problems and understanding customer specifications and procedures
  • Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail.
