Job Description

We are looking for aย Structural Engineerย with a minimum 5 years of experience for our LA - Woodland Hills office, who wants to work and grow as a team player within our progressive multi-discipline firm. The successful individual will be a licensed engineer with solid experience in the design of steel, concrete and wood commercial/institutional buildings.

In This Role You Will:

  • Perform structural analysis, design, and detailing on a variety of commercial & institutional building projects.
  • Collaborate with the architect, owner, and contractor to provide a well-coordinated and high-quality set of structural drawings.
  • Contribute to project teams of engineers, designers and drafters to execute structural designs.
  • Meet with the project team to ensure effective communication flow during design.
  • Interface with the contractor during construction to ensure positive results with minimum complications.
  • Work closely with the Discipline Manager to support the needs of the department, projects, and growth objectives.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Approximate Base Salary - $95,000 - $120,000+ based on experience.
  • Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate.
  • Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance.
  • Hybrid Work Scheduleย (subject to change).
  • 401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching for 9% Employee Contribution.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Civil or Structural engineering.
  • PE registration in any state.
  • 5 or more years of experience with design of concrete, steel, and timber structures.
  • Ability to work independently with proper engineering oversight.
  • Ability to work and collaborate in larger project teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Registered CA Structural Engineer.
  • M.S. degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
  • Multi-discipline project management experience.
  • Experience with DSA and OSHPD.
  • Experience with 3D modeling software (ETABS, RISA, SAFE).

  • Must be a self-starter who is able to see the big picture and connect the vision of the company with his/her job, be persistent, and follow through in a consistent manner.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities).
