Position Overview:

Join our kitchen team at The Grill at Crooked Creek Marina, a lakeside fast-casual dining destination on Lake Sinclair! As a Cook, you'll prepare delicious meals for our guests while working in a lively, fun atmosphere with stunning views of the lake. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about food, enjoy a fast-paced kitchen environment, and thrive in a collaborative team setting.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare a variety of menu items according to recipes and guest preferences.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, following safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Ensure food is cooked to the proper temperature and meets quality standards.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure orders are completed in a timely and organized manner.
  • Assist with daily kitchen prep work, including cutting ingredients, preparing sauces, and organizing supplies.
  • Assist in restocking and replenishing ingredients and supplies, ensuring proper labeling and organization using the FIFO method.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash, and ensuring workstations, equipment, and storage areas are orderly and sanitized.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, including food storage and preparation standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety practices (training provided for those with limited experience)

Working Conditions:

  • Performs work primarily indoors in a kitchen setting, where temperatures can occasionally become hot due to cooking activities.
  • Remains stationary for extended periods of time.
  • Operates grills, fryers, cutting tools, and other kitchen equipment safely.
  • Moves up to 25 lbs.

The anticipated pay for this position is $16.00, hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
