Nature & Purpose of Position
TRIO Student Support Services is seeking ONE math and ONE science tutor with paper editing ability who can tutor other college students in math or science courses and assist with paper editing. Our ideal candidate has a passion for helping others and has a welcoming personality. They enjoy meeting new people and growing professional relationships.
Other Requirements for the Position
Qualifications: This job requires excellent knowledge of math courses (algebra, trigonometry, calculus, statistics) or science courses (biology, chemistry, physics). Also required is writing and editing ability. They should have some experience teaching or tutoring their peers (even if it was on an informal basis). They should have good study habits (textbook reading, note taking, time management, and test taking skills). This position does NOT require the applicant to be a member of TRIO.
