Physician – Veterans Affairs

Pottsville Veterans Affairs Community-Based Outpatient Clinic
Pottsville, Pennsylvania | Schuylkill County

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
No Weekends | No Federal Holidays
Employment: Full-Time or Locum Tenens
Full-Time Compensation: $260,000–$290,000 annually + benefits
Locum Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience and assignment structure

About the Opportunity

MD Staffing Services is seeking a Physician to provide outpatient primary care at the Pottsville Veterans Affairs Community-Based Outpatient Clinic in Pottsville, Pennsylvania.

We are looking for a physician interested in a full-time position and are also open to experienced locum tenens physicians.

This is a great opportunity for a physician who enjoys primary care, wants a consistent weekday schedule, and values the opportunity to care for the men and women who have served our country.

You'll work in an outpatient setting where you can get to know your patients, manage their ongoing healthcare needs, and be part of a team focused on providing Veterans with consistent, quality care.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Provide primary and preventive care to Veterans
  • Evaluate and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Perform routine examinations and follow-up visits
  • Order and review laboratory and diagnostic testing
  • Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans
  • Educate Veterans about their health and treatment options
  • Coordinate care with specialists and other members of the Veterans Affairs healthcare team
  • Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Current unrestricted medical license
  • Current DEA registration
  • Current BLS certification
  • Ability to meet Veterans Affairs credentialing and privileging requirements
  • Primary care experience preferred
  • Previous Veterans Affairs, military, or Federal healthcare experience is a plus
Schedule & Benefits

This is a Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM outpatient opportunity with no weekends and no Federal Holidays.
