Full-Time | Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 3:15PM - 11:45PM (Off Sunday & Monday) | Pay: $17.99 Hourly |
Weekly Earned Wage Access is an option for this position.
Job Purpose or Objective(s): You will care for students at Jones Academy and ensure their needs are met in compliance with the policy and procedures set forth in the Handbook. You will report to the manager.
Primary Tasks:
  • You will check dormitory, recreation areas and other student use areas to ensure that proper behavior, safety and overall welfare of students are being maintained and report hazards to a supervisor.
  • Read daily logbook for staff notes/events, maintain a daily log providing important information that has occurred during your shift. Give interim report at end of your shift to the employees coming on.
  • Conduct student roll call every day after school, check intranet for any announcements or changes in schedules.
  • Maintain a money file for those students who bring in spending money from home.
  • You will provide proper health care for all students; dispense medicine as prescribed; report illness to Medical Coordinator and Supervisor and transport a student to a medical appointment or to the ER room.
  • Perform normal housekeeping responsibilities washing clothes, mopping floors. Give demonstration to teach proper cleaning and housekeeping to students; assign "details" to student and monitor performance.
  • Attend Parent/Teacher Conference at Jones Academy Elementary School.
  • Perform student bed checks; periodically check student rooms to make sure all students are sleeping and accounted for.
  • Monitor and submit requests for dormitory supplies.
  • Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.

Required education and experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Oral and writing skills which includes listening
  • You may perform more than one task at the same time
  • Valid driver's license
  • Six months experience in similar role
