We are seeking a highly skilled Elastic Software Developer to support our USAF contract on Robins AFB, GA. This project is in support of the 402d Software Engineering Group (SWEG) at Robins Air Force Base, GA.  The Elastic Engineer supports the 402d SWEG’s mission by working closely with engineers, developers, administrators and other technical teams supporting a variety of weapon system platforms and airframes such as the F-15 and F-35 fighters, the B-1B bomber, the C-5 and C-130 cargo planes, the remote piloted MQ-9 Reaper, and the HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopter.  All work will be performed on base.

Responsibilities 

  • Design, develop, and deploy secure Elastic - based architectures optimized for mission-critical data requirements
  • Provide senior-level technical expertise in Elastic stack integration, upgrades, and troubleshooting
  • Ensure all Elastic environments meet strict cyber security standards, through access control, encryption, and monitoring protocols
  • Engineer scalable data pipelines, and architectures using scripting languages (Python, Bash, Powershell) and support automation via tools like Jenkins, and Logstash
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams-spanning software, systems, and electrical engineering - to deliver fully integrated, reliable, and secure solutions
  • Document and standardize, configurations, and procedures to ensure system maintainability, and operational continuity

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science. Software Engineering, or Computer/Electrical Engineering
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI Eligibility
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Elasticsearch in a production environment.
  • Experience must include familiarity with utilizing Elasticsearch for indexing, searching, and performing analytics on data.
  • Experience demonstrating proficiency with data aggregations, writing complex search queries, data modeling/indexing, cluster management/architecture to include scaling, development with scripting languages (such as Python, Bash, PowerShell), and understanding database structures.
  • Experience utilizing tools such as Kibana, Logstash, Jira, and Jenkins
  • Certification Requirements:
    • Security+CE is required
  • Ability to perform at a Senior/SME level with minimal to no assistance from junior level organic staff.

 

Schedule

  • Facilities are open 6am-6pm - you can work with your customer leadership to set hours
  • You can flex time during the 2 week pay cycle - avoid using PTO for appointments
  • A compressed work schedule may be available at the discretion of work center leadership (i.e. 4/10 or 9/80)
