Job description

Job Summary

A Framer is responsible for assisting the carpentry foreman, manually securing, moving, assembling, and installing lumber products operating a variety of woodworking machines and tools to cut, shape, fasten, and install building materials associated with wood framing.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with carpentry foremen daily
  • Comply with and enforce all company policies
  • Attend the training sessions for your position offered by the company
  • Maintain a positive company image with appropriate language, dress, and behavior
  • Fabrication and installation of basic components required in commercial carpentry framing
  • Keep the job site organized and clean
  • Provide your own hand tools and belt
  • Maintain and use your Personal Protective Equipment at all times
  • Participate in maintaining a safe job site
  • Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Preferred GED or equivalent
  • Preferred proficiency in reading and writing English
  • Preferred knowledge of lumber and engineered wood products, wood framing anchors, and connections and how they are assembled and used in hand frame and panelized buildings.

Hourly/Salary Pay Range:$35,000 - $70,000 annually, dependent on experience

Bonus/Incentive Pay:

For hourly framing crew members:Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include production bonuses, trip rates, and employee referral bonuses.A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
