Job description:

A Modular Building Laborer assists in constructing, assembling, and installing prefabricated building components, typically working in a factory setting or on-site to build walls, floors, and roofs. Key tasks include operating power tools (saws, drills), reading tape measures, ensuring structural integrity, and adhering to strict safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assembly: Assemble modular components, including wall panels, trusses, and floor systems, according to blueprints.
  • Installation: Install doors, windows, molding, and insulation in factory settings.
  • Material Prep: Cut, shape, and move wood, metal, and plastic materials using power tools.
  • Sealing & Finishing: Seal, paint, and caulk exterior/interior panels to prepare units for transport.
  • Quality Control: Inspect parts to ensure they meet building codes and company quality standards.
  • Site Support: Assist with transporting materials, cleaning up job sites, and supporting skilled trades (electricians, plumbers).
