Our firm is built on a foundation of growth and "Responsible Freedom "—a culture that empowers our people to take ownership of their work, challenge the status quo, and drive original solutions for our clients.
In this role, you won't just be managing tasks; you'll be an entrepreneurial leader overseeing the full lifecycle of complex land development projects. You will bridge the gap between technical excellence and business growth, leading talented teams of engineers and designers while fostering long-term relationships with private and public sector clients.
What You'll Do
Lead & Mentor: Direct a multidisciplinary team of project engineers and CAD technicians. You'll be responsible for their professional growth, quality of work, and the successful execution of site plans, grading, and utility designs.
Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee projects from initial due diligence and scoping through final construction. This includes managing budgets, schedules, and ensuring all deliverables meet our high standards for technical accuracy.
Client Advocacy: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, navigating their technical requirements and project goals while ensuring a seamless delivery process.
Business Growth: Utilize your local market knowledge to assist in securing repeat business and identifying new opportunities. You will participate in marketing presentations and help prepare fee proposals and contract negotiations.
Regulatory Navigation: Interface with municipal agencies and stakeholders to secure permits and approvals, ensuring all designs comply with local codes and environmental regulations.
Who You Are
An Entrepreneurial Thinker: You thrive in an environment that rewards initiative and creativity. You are comfortable taking calculated risks to achieve better results for your team and your clients.
A Proven Leader: You have a track record of managing people and processes effectively, with a focus on quality assurance and project profitability.
Technically Sharp: You possess a deep understanding of civil engineering principles related to land development, including drainage, water/wastewater, and transportation systems.
Communicator: You can translate complex technical data into clear, persuasive reports and presentations for both executive audiences and field personnel.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Experience: 7+ years of experience in civil engineering, specifically focused on land development (residential, commercial, or industrial).
Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and project management software.
Local Knowledge: Familiarity with Colorado municipal codes and permitting processes is highly preferred.
Why Join Us?
We offer the stability of a national infrastructure leader with the nimble, collaborative feel of a local office. We are a community of lifelong learners, providing support for professional licensure, continuing education, and a clear path for career advancement.
Culture of Authenticity: We embrace empathy, honesty, and integrity in everything we do.
Innovative Environment: We leverage cutting-edge geospatial and BIM workflows to stay ahead of the curve.
Competitive Growth: As a firm that has rapidly scaled to over 90 locations, we offer unique opportunities for relocation, specialized assignments, and national collaboration.
