Job description


FlexStaff is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our client outpatient healthcare center that provides primary care, dental, behavioral health, OB/GYN, and other community-based wellness servicesfor their location in Queens, NY.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license.
  • Completion of an accredited graduate NP program (MSN, DNP) with a population focus appropriate for OB/GYN care (Women's Health, Family, or Adult-Women's).
  • New York State Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification/registration through NYSED (RN + NP credentialing/registration).
  • National NP certification in Women's Health NP certification (WHNP-BC via NCC)
  • 3600 hours of work experience

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Provide comprehensive women's health care: prenatal, postpartum, gynecology, family planning.
  • Perform exams, routine procedures (IUD/implant, endometrial biopsy, Pap/colposcopy support).
  • Order, interpret, and act on labs and imaging.
  • Manage acute OB/GYN issues; triage and escalate to physicians/surgery as needed.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary care and referrals; support hospital admissions/continuity.
  • Deliver patient education, contraceptive counseling, and trauma-informed care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, comply with regulations, and meet productivity targets.
  • Participate in quality improvement, peer review, and case conferences.
  • Precept staff/students and pursue required certifications/licensure.
