Position Overview

SCP Health, a physician-founded and physician-led organization, is seeking a dedicated Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join the Emergency Department at Franciscan Health Munster, a community-focused acute care hospital located in Munster, Indiana.

This opportunity offers a manageable-volume Emergency Department, strong physician collaboration, and the ability to provide high-quality emergency care in a supportive and patient-centered environment. Providers benefit from predictable compensation, efficient workflows, and a stable practice setting within a respected health system.


Clinical & Program Details
  • Patient Volume: Approximately 15,000 ED visits annually
  • Specialties: Emergency Medicine
  • Coverage Model:
    • 24 hours of physician coverage daily
    • 8 hours of NP coverage Monday through Friday
  • Facility Type: 63-bed Acute Care Hospital
  • Emergency Department Beds: 15
  • Acuity: Moderate
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Procedures: Standard emergency medicine procedures appropriate to NP scope of practice
Qualifications
  • Education: Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Certification: Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP)
  • Licensure: Indiana Nurse Practitioner license (or ability to obtain)
  • Experience: Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care experience preferred
  • Clinical Skills: Ability to independently evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients within scope of practice
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
