How much do data analysts charge per hour?

Data analysts typically charge between $25 and $100 per hour, depending on experience, location, and project complexity. Freelance analysts or those with specialized skills in tools like SQL, Python, or Tableau may command higher rates, especially for short-term or consulting work.

Do data analysts get paid by the hour?

Data analysts working hourly are paid based on the number of hours they work, with rates varying depending on experience, location, and industry. Many data analysts are employed as salaried employees, but hourly positions are common for freelance or contract roles, especially when project-based work or flexible schedules are involved.

What are hourly data analytics?

Hourly data analytics refers to the process of collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data on an hourly basis to monitor trends, performance, and patterns within that specific timeframe. This approach is commonly used in industries such as retail, IT, and manufacturing to spot hourly fluctuations, optimize operations, and make timely decisions. Hourly data analytics can help organizations quickly identify issues or opportunities and respond proactively, improving overall efficiency and outcomes.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Hourly Data Analyst, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Hourly Data Analyst, you need strong analytical abilities, proficiency with data manipulation, and a foundational understanding of statistics, often supported by a degree in a quantitative field. Familiarity with tools such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization platforms like Tableau or Power BI is typically required. Attention to detail, problem-solving, and effective communication are crucial soft skills that set top performers apart. These skills and qualities are important to ensure accurate data insights, efficient task completion, and clear reporting to stakeholders.

Is 40 too late for data science?

For an hourly data analytics role, age is generally not a barrier; many professionals transition into data science or analytics later in their careers. Success depends on acquiring relevant skills such as programming, statistics, and tools like SQL or Python, regardless of age. Continuous learning and practical experience are key factors in entering the field at any age.

Is AI replacing data analysts?

AI tools are automating certain data analysis tasks, such as data cleaning and basic reporting, but data analysts are still essential for interpreting complex insights, making strategic decisions, and providing context. The role of a data analyst involves skills like critical thinking and domain knowledge that AI cannot fully replicate, so demand for human analysts remains strong alongside technological advancements.

Job description

About Atria:

Atria is a membership-based preventive health care practice delivering cutting-edge primary and specialty care in New York, South Florida, Los Angeles (2026), and through 24/7 telemedicine globally.

Our multi-specialty team of 60+ top in-house physicians provides proactive, preventive, and precision-based care for Atria members and their families. We aim to optimize lifespan and healthspan through meticulous screening, leading-edge therapeutics, and tailored interventions designed to prevent disease and detect it at the earliest possible stages.ย

Each member's care is led by a dedicated Chief Medical Officer who collaborates with specialists in cardiology, neurology, pediatrics, women's health, endocrinology, integrative health, performance and movement, nutrition, and more.

Through our nonprofit Atria Research Institute and Public Health Institute, we also work to accelerate the translation of medical breakthroughs and expand access to preventive care for as many people as possible.

We're seeking a mid-level Data Analyst to join our Technology organization and support the concierge healthcare team. This role goes beyond traditional reporting-you'll be instrumental in building the data infrastructure that powers business decisions while becoming a trusted advisor on healthcare operations and strategy.

You'll own our reporting ecosystem, transforming raw healthcare data into actionable insights that drive patient care and business outcomes. Your work will directly inform clinical operations, member experience initiatives, and strategic planning.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Design and maintain dashboards and reports that track key healthcare metrics including patient outcomes, utilization patterns, provider performance, and member satisfaction
  • Partner with clinical and operations teams to understand their data needs and deliver self-service analytics solutions
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to answer critical business questions and support strategic initiatives

Analytics Engineering

  • Build and maintain semantic layers that make our data accessible and reliable across the organization
  • Create structured data environments that enable analytics agents and automated reporting
  • Develop data models that balance technical rigor with business usability
  • Establish data quality standards and monitoring processes

Business Partnership

  • Develop deep expertise in concierge healthcare operations, understanding both the clinical and business contexts
  • Translate complex healthcare data into clear narratives that drive decision-making at all levels
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for improving patient care and operational efficiency
  • Evolve from data provider to strategic partner who helps shape business direction

Salary range: $110,000 - $140,000

Requirements

  • SQL proficiency: You write clean, efficient queries and understand how to optimize for performance
  • Visualization expertise: Experience building intuitive dashboards in Tableau, Looker, Omni, or similar platforms
  • Analytical thinking: You naturally ask "why" and can structure ambiguous problems into clear analytical frameworks
  • Communication skills: You can explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and tell compelling stories with data
Preferred Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in a data analyst or similar role
  • Experience in healthcare, preferably in value-based care, concierge medicine, or similar models
  • Familiarity with data modeling concepts and analytics engineering principles
  • Experience working cross-functionally with clinical, operations, and executive teams
What Sets You Apart
  • You're curious about the business, not just the data-you want to understand the "so what" behind every analysis
  • Work well with product to make analytics scalable and self-serviceable
  • You're comfortable with ambiguity and can define your own scope when given open-ended questions
  • You have a bias toward action and iterate quickly rather than pursuing perfect analyses

Benefits

At Atria, we are proud to offer every member of the Atria team:

  • Excellent health and wellness benefits, 100% paid by Atria effective date of hire
  • OneMedical membership for employees & dependents giving access to 24/7 virtual care
  • Fertility & family planning
  • Company-covered preventive health screenings through partner hospitals (Calcium score)
  • Fitness Perks including Wellhub +
  • 401k contributions and 4% match starting after 6 months
  • Flexible Time Offย
  • Continuing medical education (CME) and CEU support for professional licensure
  • Time to give back and make an impact in underserved communities
