CO-OP/Intern Cycle: January - June 2027

Anticipated Start & End Date: January 4, 2027, to June 25, 2027 (flexible based on school requirements)

Location: Boston, MA

Office Requirements: 3-4 days in office

Team: Business Solutions

POSITION SUMMARY: 

Audax is looking for a dynamic, motivated Data Analyst CO-OP to join the business solutions team. This position will be responsible for supporting the company's Business Intelligence ("BI") strategy with hands-on experience in data analytics, data modeling, and Business Intelligence. You will collaborate with the business intelligence, finance, strategic resources, and deal teams to design, develop, and maintain data models, ensure data quality and integrity, and contribute to the expansion of the company's BI strategy. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Designing, implementing, maintaining and scaling Audax's BI reporting and Semantic Layer 

  • Support Business Solutions and other strategic resources functions with Power BI and Data Analytics development. 
  • Work with professionals to scale the semantic layer within the company's cloud enterprise data warehouse. 
  • Play an integral role in designing ETL processes and analytic pipelines for investment professionals. 
  • Assist with implementation of data governance policies, including data cataloging and data lineage. 
  • Provide data validation and data quality assessments. 
  • Identify and resolve data anomalies. 

COMPETENCIES:  

  • Proficient in Power BI and SQL required. 
  • Experience designing and implementing optimal data models. 
  • Familiarity with on-premise and cloud-based databases a plus. 
  • Familiarity with tabular modeling a plus. 

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics Engineering, or another related field. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Previous Co-Op or full-time experience in a related field is a plus. 
  • Experience taking large data sets, and cleaning/distilling these datasets. 
  • Experience with Python a plus. 
  • Experience with Alteryx and its advanced capabilities a plus. 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required. 
  • Ability to interact in an efficient and meaningful way with all levels of the organization required. 

TRAVEL: No regular travel is required for this role.

For Massachusetts: The hourly range for this position is $30.00-$34.00 The hourly range represents the estimated low and high end for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation may vary and will be determined based on but not limited to, the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and Audax reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. An employee may also be eligible for annual discretionary incentive compensation based on performance.
