Job description

Working under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Scheduler Performs a variety of duties including daily Scheduling and Billing of CLS staff, Reading of staff notes, and is responsible for the timely processing of Medicaid Claims.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  1. Input staff schedule in an Electronic Verification System.
  2. Monitor Electronic Verification System daily or hourly for completion from staff.
  3. Read over staff notes (CLS and CRA) for thorough and completed notes
  4. Verify required signatures are inputted.
  5. Communication with Staff as needed.
  6. Bill for CLS approved notes and time.
  7. Follow up on claims within a standard billing cycle.
  8. Research and appeal denied claims.
  9. Acquire an understanding of and proficiency in all functions of their assigned duties
  10. Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of staff and agency information.
  11. Interact with all staff.
  12. Update CLS Staff Schedule as needed
  13. Work with office and management staff daily.
  14. Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  1. Computer literate.
  2. Good writing, analytical and problemsolving skills.
  3. Knowledge of principles and practices of organization, planning, records management and general administration.
  4. Ability to communicate effectively.
  5. Ability to operate standard office equipment, including but not limited to, computers, telephone systems, typewriters, calculators, copiers and facsimile machines.
  6. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  7. A calm manner and patience working with staff.


Minimum Qualifications:

  1. At least three (1) years experience in general office responsibilities and procedures.
  2. Must be computer literate.
  3. Knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management and organization.
  4. Knowledge of the basic principles and practices of bookkeeping.
  5. Ability to work well either alone or as part of a team.
