Assessment Coordinator
We are searching for an experienced Assessment Coordinator at our Goldsmith Campus - Westchester campus.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Assessment Coordinator is responsible for supporting assessment activities in order to strengthen academic programs and ensure compliance with WSCUC accreditation standards. The ideal staff will provide support and assessment expertise for academic programs' annual program assessment and program review, and with the production of various Accreditation reports. This will include, but is not limited to, annual collection and archiving of evidence, support for the development and writing of each program's self-study, collection and reporting of data; updating the assessment website, editing, and helping write reports. The candidate will be assisting faculty and Chairs with the assessment of student learning pertaining to program learning outcomes, and the assessment of general education, core competencies, and institutional learning outcomes. In addition, the role provides oversight for student success monitoring tools such as the Academic Response Team reports and the EdSights platform, ensuring timely identification and follow-up for students of concern and using data to inform systemic interventions. This position works closely with and reports directly to the Associate Provost for Educational Effectiveness and Enrollment Management.
• Assessment: 60%
o Develop and maintain academic department assessment archiving systems which describe instructional activities
o Obtain and synthesize data provided by the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness and Career Services and Enrollment Management Offices to prepare various reports - for example, analysis of peer group curricula, career placement outcomes, and admissions data
o Assist faculty and other college partners setting up assignments with rubrics in the learning management system for purposes of student work evaluation
o Provide technical guidance, logistical support, and assessment methods expertise.
o Prepare templates, reports, and other related documents using prescribed style and formatting guides, including tables, charts and graphs
o Assist with data-entry for annual assessment plans, accreditation related documentation and program review
o Build program review self-study reports in Google Sites

o Support upkeep of the assessment cycles and program review cycles

o Support data collection for accreditation reports
o Edit accreditation-related reports and support compliance with the WSCUC standards.

o Maintain confidentiality and discretion.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
• BFA, BA or BS degree from an accredited university.
• A minimum of one to two years of work experience.
• The ability to write, edit, and proofread at a level that produces and encourages high quality reports while adhering to deadlines.
• Adherence to data stewardship and handling of confidential, sensitive, and protected information.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, and strong organizational and task management skills.
• Support a culture of data-informed decision making.
• Willingness and capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively with department chairs, faculty and in team environments.
• Proficiency in the use of Google Suite and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Qualified individuals should be able to articulate a strong commitment to diversity, and have the ability to work effectively with individuals from different backgrounds.
• Knowledge of art and design education including general education.
• Survey development and software.
• Willingness to learn social science methodologies, WSCUC accreditation requirements, and video conferencing.
• A strong commitment to supporting the development of assessment practices with a social justice lens.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Compensation Type: Hourly Wage
Salary Range: 28.16 - 33.74
