Job description

Position Description: Provides asbestos abatement services to numerous iSi customers in accordance with applicable regulations and in a manner that will meet facility required production rates. Position Responsibilities: Perform asbestos abatement projects using a variety of techniques, including glove bagging and gross abatement of floor tile and mastic, ceiling tile, piping and insulation, etc. Set up and take down containment and glove bags Load and properly dispose of asbestos Perform non-friable asbestos abatement Perform lead abatement activities as needed Assist with remediation services projects as needed Operate hand and power tools safely including jack hammers, power chisels, and powerwashers Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times Perform decontamination activities Ensure proper functioning of PPE; clean and maintain PPE Comply with safety policies and procedures Provide additional support as needed Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Certification and Training - 32-hour Asbestos Worker training
State Asbestos License and Federal Certification Other Skills - Good verbal communication skills
Strong ability to work safely with equipment
Good problem solving skills
Strong customer service orientation
Strong team player
Regular attendance and punctuality Preferred Skills and Experience - Prior experience in asbestos abatement
Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record $18.00 - $18.00 Hourly
