Job description

Position Description:
We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our onshore team. This candidate should seamlessly utilize SQL, Python, Hadoop/Big Data and Tableau. Candidate should have functional knowledge in Banking Domain. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, passion for technology, and extensive analysis experience. This candidate will serve as a techno functional expert of a large-scale digital development project consisting of both on-shore and off-shore developers. The Business/Data Analyst will work together with Product Owners, Subject Matter Experts and Technical Managers to build a database and reports.
This role is located in our client's office five days a week in Strongsville, OH, Pittsburgh, PA. Do not apply if you are not local or will not relocate yourself to one of those locations.
Future duties and responsibilities
. Analyze, profile, and validate large volumes of structured and unstructured data from multiple enterprise sources.
. Design, develop, and optimize data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes using Informatica.
. Work with Teradata, Hadoop, and Big Data environments to support data warehousing, analytics, and reporting initiatives.
. Develop Python scripts for data analysis, automation, data quality checks, and process optimization.
. Perform data mapping, data lineage analysis, and source-to-target documentation.
. Collaborate with business users, data architects, developers, and project teams to gather and document requirements.
. Conduct root cause analysis and data quality investigations to resolve data discrepancies.
. Support data migration, modernization, and cloud transformation initiatives.
. Monitor and manage batch processing schedules using CA7 and coordinate issue resolution for production support activities.
. Create and maintain technical documentation, data dictionaries, and process workflows.
. Develop dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions to support business decision-making.
. Ensure compliance with enterprise data governance, security, and regulatory requirements.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
. 5+ years of experience in data analysis, data warehousing, or data engineering environments.
. Strong hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter for ETL development and support.
. Extensive experience working with Teradata databases, including complex SQL development and performance tuning.
. Experience with Hadoop ecosystem and Big Data technologies.
. Strong Python programming skills for data processing, automation, and analytics.
. Experience supporting enterprise batch scheduling tools such as CA7.
. Advanced SQL skills with experience querying large-scale datasets.
. Experience performing data profiling, data validation, reconciliation, and data quality analysis.
. Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data integration methodologies.
. Experience in banking, financial services, or highly regulated industries.
. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
. Experience with data governance, metadata management, and data lineage tools.
. Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
. Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Cognos.
. Familiarity with Unix/Linux scripting and shell programming
. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $57,100.00 - $154,300.00.
