Job description

Aircraft Logs & Records Technician

The Aircraft logs and records technician maintains aircraft and engine logbooks, manages maintenance data entry and retrieval systems, and performs administrative recordkeeping duties.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be a US citizen with a valid driver's license.
  • Must have a Secret clearance.
  • Must have a valid passport.
  • Efficient with Micro Soft Office suites.
  • Minimum 1-3 years handling aircraft maintenance documentation, logs, and records.
  • Familiar with FAA guidelines or specific military instructions, P-8 aircraft series preferred.
  • High attention to detail, electronic data transmission proficiency, and data base management.

Responsibilities:

  • Tracks technical directives, prepares management reports, and ensures regulatory compliance.
  • Maintains and updates physical and electronic aircraft, engine, and component logbooks, service records and discrepancy books.
  • Performs data entry, retrieval, and error correction using maintenance databases.
  • Extracts data to create backups, archives, and regular operational or management reports to support audits, inspections and detachments.
  • Handles general clerical tasks including filing, typing, drafting correspondents, and managing technical publications libraries.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

The working conditions will mostly be in a warehouse environment.

Physical Requirements:

This position must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as well as have the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time. Physical requirements of the position may also include, but are not limited to, bending, twisting, and lifting.
