The Appleton Area School District has a position available for a 1.0 FTE Cross Categorical Special Education Teacher at Houdini Elementary School beginning on 08/24/2026.

The Cross Categorical Special Education Teacher provides specialized instruction, intervention, and support for intermediate-aged students with disabilities, primarily students identified with Other Health Impairments (OHI) and Emotional Behavioral Disabilities (EBD). The teacher develops and implements individualized educational programs that promote academic growth, social-emotional development, and positive behavioral outcomes while ensuring students have access to rigorous grade-level curriculum and meaningful inclusion opportunities. This position requires a highly collaborative educator who believes all students can learn at high levels and is committed to fostering student success through strong relationships, structured support systems, and responsive instructional practices.
