Job description

We are seeking a PT Porter for our SmithtownStore! Bring your great, customer serving attitude and teamwork ethics to Uncle Giuseppe's and join the team! This position requires the employee to occasionally work outside in the parking lot, in all weather conditions. Additionally helping to keep the store clean on the inside too!

Porters are responsible for cleaning, sweeping up trash, mopping/vacuuming floors, scrubbing walls and windows, and removing garbage. Individuals may also do minor repairs and take on quick tasks, from transporting items to restocking supplies. Ideally, individual will maintain the cleanliness and safety of the building, looking out for rule violations and possible threats. Physical stamina is essential, as porters remain standing throughout their entire shift. They may work on evenings, weekends, or holidays.

Responsibilities

Maintain Cleanliness

Porters at Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace spend much of their time maintaining the cleanliness of the parking lot, collecting carts and in other areas assigned to them, which may include lobbies, staircases, bathrooms, and other building areas, as well as the surrounding space outside.
