Job description

Experts in the art of hospitality, The Grove Hotel and the Block22 Companies create memorable experiences. We are a destination for experiences beyond the ordinary, the heart of downtown Boise. As a Night Porter at The Grove Hotel, you'll be the friendly face guests see after hours, expertly handling their vehicles and belongings with precision and style.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
  • Escort incoming hotel guests to rooms and assist with hand luggage
  • Deliver messages, run errands, pick up articles of laundry
  • Transport guests in airport shuttle between hotels and airport
  • Promote services of the hotel with the intent of meeting guest's satisfaction
  • Follow all traffic laws, hotel policies, and safety regulations while driving
  • Communicate with the front desk to manage shuttle requests and coordinate schedules
  • Other job-related duties as assigned
  • Graveyard shift: 11PM-7AM
  • Pay is hourly plus TIPS

Requirements
  • Must have a positive attitude and enjoy working with people,
  • Previous experience helpful, but not necessary
  • Strong customer services skills are a must
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with co-workers and patrons

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, carry and manipulate various items (ex: luggage) weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to sit, walk and stand for extended periods when assisting guests and performing tasks
