We are seeking a Server who will be responsible serving food and beverages to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner resulting in superior guest satisfaction.               

Part of the Milwaukee-based Marcus Hotels & Resorts portfolio, HOTEL PASEO offers guests a distinctive desert retreat featuring 150 thoughtfully designed guest rooms and suites, many showcasing breathtaking views of the San Jacinto Mountains and palm-lined landscape. Guests can unwind by our resort-style pool and on-site spa, explore the area on complimentary bicycles, and enjoy inspired dining at Larkspur Grill, Lemon Drop Pool Bar or Cafe Paseo. Located along world-renowned El Paseo, our boutique hotel places guests steps from premier shopping, art galleries, acclaimed restaurants, and vibrant nightlife while serving as the perfect gateway to Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley.

What will you be doing?

• Welcome guests, explain specials, promotions, and menu offerings.
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of menu items, wine list, ingredients, and preparation methods.
• Deliver all required service presentations and hospitality standards.
• Accurately enter orders into the POS system and coordinate with culinary and management teams.
• Retrieve, verify, and serve food and beverages, ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the meal.
• Resolve guest concerns professionally while maintaining a high level of service.
• Process payments, thank guests, and encourage return visits.
• Maintain a clean, organized dining area by resetting tables, restocking supplies, completing side work, and following all liquor regulations.
• Other duties as assigned

What do you bring to the role?

• High school degree or equivalent preferred
• One year or more of service in a fine dining outlet required
• Handle customer complaints with empathy and provide proactive solutions
• Proficient in English for guest requests, memos, and reservations
• Ability to work POS system
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds unassisted on occasion as well as move through crowded rooms to seat guests
• Ability to remember, recite, and promote a variety of menu items
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holiday and have reliable transportation to and from work
