Job description

Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Application Consultant / Trainer with a strong background in hospitality operations and Property Management Systems (PMS) to support large-scale system implementations across hotels, resorts, and hospitality organizations.
This role focuses on end-user training, operational consulting, go-live support, and user adoption rather than technical system configuration. The ideal candidate combines hands-on hospitality operational experience with the ability to effectively train hotel staff, reinforce best practices, and support successful technology deployments in fast-paced environments.
Pay: $38.00 - $43.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver instructor-led and hands-on end-user training during PMS implementation projects.
  • Support property teams through go-live events, ensuring a smooth transition to new systems and processes.
  • Train users on PMS workflows, operational procedures, and hospitality industry best practices.
  • Provide on-site consultation and support during implementation, stabilization, and adoption periods.
  • Work closely with hotel management, front office, housekeeping, finance, and operational teams to ensure successful implementation outcomes.
  • Assist with hospitality technology deployments across a variety of hospitality organizations and property types.
  • Identify operational challenges and recommend workflow improvements that maximize system utilization.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to property teams throughout implementation and post-go-live support activities.
  • Document training outcomes, user feedback, and adoption progress.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in hospitality operations, hospitality technology, or PMS consulting/training.
  • Strong understanding of hotel operations, including:
    • Reservations
    • Guest check-in and check-out
    • Revenue transactions and folio management
    • Night audit and financial reconciliation
    • Housekeeping operations
  • Experience delivering training, coaching, or operational support to hospitality teams.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in dynamic customer environments.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively for implementation and go-live events.
  • Ability to work intensive deployment schedules, including multi-day implementation events requiring extended work hours.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a:
    • Application Consultant
    • Hospitality Trainer
    • PMS Trainer
    • Implementation Consultant
    • Hospitality Operations Consultant
    • Customer Success Specialist
    • Application Support Specialist within hospitality technology
  • Experience supporting hotels, resorts, casino resorts, or other hospitality operations.
  • PMS certifications or completion of recognized hospitality technology training programs.
  • Prior experience supporting enterprise software adoption and change management initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with Property Management Systems (PMS) and hospitality software platforms.
  • Understanding of hospitality technology implementation methodologies and user adoption strategies.
  • Experience conducting classroom, virtual, and on-site training sessions.
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer-facing consulting skills.
Work Environment & Travel Expectations
This position requires significant travel to customer locations for training, implementation, and go-live support activities. Candidates should be comfortable working on-site for extended implementation events, often requiring consecutive travel weeks and flexible scheduling to support customer operations.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a hospitality professional who understands hotel operations, enjoys working directly with customers, and excels at training end users on new technology. You should be comfortable in a highly visible role, capable of building relationships with operational teams, and passionate about helping organizations successfully adopt hospitality technology solutions.
